New trailer and poster for Despicable Me 2

Despicable Me 2 isn’t scheduled for release until 2013, but that hasn’t stopped Universal getting the drop on their competitors by releasing an early teaser trailer as well as a new poster for the animated sequel.

But how do you tease a film without showing the audience a scrap of actual footage, or giving away so much as a single plot detail? You rope in some of your most loveable characters, and get them to sing a song!

Enter the minions, who proceed to perform Barbara Ann by The Beach Boys, in their own inimitable style. Well, we say inimitable, but you’ll probably spend the rest of the morning pissing your colleagues off with your own rendition…
